What is this list?

The Rated Demon Index (referred to as RDI from now on) is a Geometry Dash demon list that covers all demons. Yes, you heard that right, all demons. Easy→Extreme, we track levels, records, clans, countries, and more!
A controversial way the list handles accepting records, which may or may not be familiar to you, is verified records. All levels require clicks and a verification video, unlike sites like the GDDL.

What makes us different from sites like pointercrate?

We include every rated demon. The RDI is made to have all demons, from easy to #1.
This wide range allows more users to access the list. Maybe you're a top player, or just beating your first demon — the list is available to you!

Are we affiliated with RobTop or the Geometry Dash servers?

No. The RDI is a community project. The demons come from the game, but our list is maintained by the RDI team.
Decisions made on the site, stay on the site. A leaderboard change or list change does not affect the game.

I'm new. Where do I start?

Start by reading the guidelines. If you have any extra questions, read the rest of the FAQ. Once you're done with that, try browsing the levels, or viewing a clan.
If you already have a completion, go to the Submit page and choose Submit Record. If your level is missing, you can submit the level.

How do points and ranks work?

How are the points awarded?

When your record is approved, you are awarded points based on the level's position. If there is any other factor, like the weekly demon (DOTW for short), or the record not being 100% progress, the points are added or subtracted as such.
For progress records, the value scales with the percentage. A 50% progress record gives you exactly 50% of the points for the completion.

How many points do non-extreme demons give?

The values are as follows: 4 for easy demon, 8 for medium demon, 16 points for hard demon, and 48 points for insane demon.
The reason these demons all have the same points is due to the technical challenge of assigning points to thousands of demons, with accurate data.

What is the weekly demon bonus?

If a level is marked as the DOTW when your record is approved, the record can earn 20 bonus points.
The bonus is attached to the DOTW, meaning a record that you had approved before the level became the DOTW, does not mean your record is eligible for the bonus points.

Why did my leaderboard/clan rank change?

Your rank will update when other users' records are approved, levels are moved, scaling changes, or records are invalidated.
The leaderboard only shows approved data, so you will not see changes till records are accepted.

How do I submit correctly?

How do I submit a completion (record)?

Go to the Submit page, choose Submit Record, select your level, paste your video link, and raw footage only if necessary, fill in your additional info and setup, and submit.
Your record will enter the queue. The list moderators will review it, and either accept, deny, or respond with additional feedback for you to act on. Please check your "My Submissions" (Profile → My Submissions) often.

What if my record was not 100%?

Progress records are only allowed for extreme demons. The minimum acceptance is 45%.
For all non-extreme demons, it is only and always 100%.

Can I submit my record twice?

You cannot. Submitting your record twice is not allowed, and only wastes time for the list moderators.
If you believe that your old record needs to be corrected, use a support ticket, or join the Discord.

What video sites are supported?

The providers we support are: YouTube, Twitch, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Google Drive, and Dropbox.
Your link must be accessible. Links that are private, deleted, or require permission will delay or block your record.

Do I need raw footage?

Raw footage is required for top 150 extreme demons only. Staff have the right to request it for any record for any reason. Failure to give requested information may result in your record being denied, or further consequences.
Raw footage should be your original unedited recording, hosted somewhere with permanent access. You can choose to hide your raw footage from public view during submission.

What is the notes area for?

Use the notes area for anything that helps list moderators review your record. Mention anything that could be suspicious.
Good notes prevent back and forth, and help us clear submissions faster. If something isn't clear-cut, explain it before we have to ask.

How long does the review take?

There is no specific set time. It depends on three main factors: queue size, staff availability, and your individual record. Records are handled from oldest to newest, and some may be handled out of order. Being a supporter also gives you priority.
A newer record being accepted first does not mean yours was ignored. It could have been an easier review, belonged to a supporter, or had extra info that made acceptance easier.

What happens after review?

If it is approved, it appears on your profile and the points are added. If it is rejected, you get the reason, plus any penalty.
Rejected records can be discussed through support. Abuse of this system can and will result in it being taken away.

Proof standards

What makes a good public video?

It should show the full attempt in one continuous recording, 720p+, 30+ fps, and the end screen should be visible.
The gameplay should be easy to see, and the level should match.

Do clicks need to be audible?

Yes. Clicks should be audible enough for list mods to clearly hear.
The sound must come from a real microphone. Clickbots, generated clicks, or clicking over a macro is considered cheating.

Can I remove my clicks from the public upload?

You may lower or remove the clicks if you provide the original recording with clicks in your raw footage.
We still need to access the clicks. Your proof has to be somewhere.

What if my microphone is quiet?

This is not an excuse. Too quiet clicks count as no clicks.
Move your microphone closer, lower background noise, or click harder.

Can I use liveplay?

A liveplay is valid proof when it clearly shows your screen, gameplay, and indicators. Only use this if you can not record your screen without performance hits.
For top 150s, liveplays are not valid evidence.

Can I use a stream VOD?

Yes, a stream VOD can serve as the public video if it is permanent.
It does not replace your raw footage. Record locally when streaming, just in case.

Allowed tools

What mods are usually fine?

Quality of life, recording, and anything else in this category are usually fine if they don't affect the level. Examples being, fps counters, cps counters, recording software (obs, steelseries, medal).
View the mods page for the full list.

What mods are not allowed?

Noclip, speedhack, macros, hitbox changes, physics manipulation, and Show Hitboxes during your attempt are NOT allowed.
If a tool changes the difficulty, physics, or automates any gameplay, assume it's banned.

Do I need a cheat indicator?

If a mod menu was active, then yes.
If it only appears on the end screen, you must reach the end screen in your run.

Are LDMs (low detail modes) allowed?

Low detail modes are allowed if they do not questionably reduce difficulty or remove gameplay elements.
Strong LDMs should be mentioned in the notes. If you are unsure, contact a list moderator first.

What if I have a health condition?

This is okay. You are allowed to change the level to reduce flashes or for any reason that would affect your health, as long as it's not unreasonable.
Changing the song for sync is allowed if it doesn't affect gameplay.

Level pages

What are tiers?

Tiers describe how hard a level is when compared to the other levels inside its difficulty.
For example, Thinking Space II is much harder than Acu, despite both being extreme demons.

What are skillsets?

Skillsets describe the gameplay that makes up the level.
They are meant to help players choose levels with the gameplay they enjoy, or find new challenges.

Profiles

Do I need an account to submit records?

Yes. You do.

How do name effects work?

You unlock them through points. Bronze at 50, silver at 100, gold at 250, ruby at 750, diamond at 1500, platinum at 2500, and master at 5000.
Once unlocked, you can equip them from the "Edit Profile" button on your profile.

How do supporter perks work?

Supporters receive a special badge, priority queue, and priority support.
These perks are mostly cosmetic, or queue related. They do not give more points or guarantee an accepted record.

Can I use more than one account?

No. Just use one account. Alternate accounts used for ban evasion, impersonation, or for any other use will result in bans.
If you are locked out of your account, contact support.

Clans

What are verified clans?

Verified clans are approved by staff and receive a badge. They unlock unlimited member slots instead of the usual 10.
Verification is reserved for clans belonging to top players, content creators, staff, special members, or notable clans.

How do I request verification?

You can request verification as the owner, and explain why you deserve it.
There is no set chance you will be accepted, and you can always retry if you are denied.

Getting help

Where do I ask for help?

Use the inbox page to open a support ticket.
The Discord server is useful for community discussion and faster general responses.

How do I report a player or record?

Click the record, then select the report.
For users, click the three dots on their profile.

Should I message staff directly?

Use the ticket system.

Can I appeal a ban?

Yes.
Your case will be reviewed by someone who wasn't in the decision to ban you.
